Malka Edelman, NCC, MCC, CRC, LMHC, CCSP  has worked in higher education for over 27 years in both the fields of career development and disability services at the State University of New York at Farmingdale. Brian Hutchison, Ph.D., LPC, CCCE is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Counselor Education at New Jersey City University, USA. Dr. Hutchison received his doctorate degree in Counselor Education & Supervision from Pennsylvania State University and has worked as a career, school, and mental health counselor and clinical supervisor.

Dr. Hutchison is the President of the Asia Pacific Career Development Association (APCDA), Editor of the Asia Pacific Career Development Journal, and Treasurer of the National Career Development Association (NCDA).

Sarah Minnis PhotoSarah E. Minnis, PhD is the CEO and Principal Consultant at Anthology Consulting LLC. She has over 20 years of career and organization development experience with 8 years working specifically with veterans and the organizations educating and employing them. As a recognized expert in veterans’ career development, Sarah has published and presented nationally and internationally on her experiences and research with veterans. Through her ongoing work in veterans’ career development she has developed a program of support and education to help college and employment communities understand the value of the veterans they serve.

Sarah currently serves as the research and publication representative for the Veterans Knowledge Community within the NASPA Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education and as a member of the steering committee for the Scholar Practitioner group within the Academy of Human Resource Development.  Sarah’s work has been published by both organizations as well as with the University Forum for Human Resource Development and the National Career Development Association. Roberta NeaultPhD, CCC, CCDP, GCDF-i, is an award-winning leader in the career development sector, in Canada and internationally, served on the board for the Career Counsellors Chapter of CCPA and is currently past president of the Counsellor Educators and Supervisors chapter of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Deirdre Pickerell, PhD, CHRP, GCDF-i has over 20 years’ experience in the fields of career development, adult education, and human resource management. She has made significant differences within the career development sector – locally, nationally, and internationally – through innovative program design and selfless leadership, consulting, and mentoring throughout the sector. Deirdre is the 2014 recipient of the Stu Conger Award for Leadership in Career Development and Career Counselling.

 

Edythe Richards, CPRW, GCDF, MBTI-MP, EQ-ihas been an educator for 20+ years, specializing in career development for over 15 of those years.  She is a nationally-recognized expert on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and was one of the first 50 individuals worldwide to obtain the Master Practitioner credential. While Edythe has worked in private and public sectors, and in higher education for a number of years, her main interest in career development is helping midlife adults locate and sustain meaningful employment. 

Edythe has been a featured speaker at many events in the greater Washington, DC Metro area, particularly in Arlington County, where she leads workshops and seminars on resume writing, career transition, and job loss.  Edythe has a Master’s Degree in Counseling as well as several industry certifications, including Certified Professional Resume Writer, Global Career Development Facilitator, Emotional Intelligence, and Myers-Briggs Master Practitioner.  Currently, Edythe works with MWAA in leadership development, training and coaching to equip teams with the tools necessary to manage change and improve employee engagement. Shirley RoweM.Ed., CCSP, GCDF-I, is the 2018 recipient of NCDA’s Outstanding Career Practitioner Award and has been a higher education career advisor for more than 20 years. Shirley has now turned her expertise to Front Rowe Consulting, firm offering training, career management, writing and speaking services. A coach, educator, writer, and instructional designer, she brings a wealth of knowledge into her role as a career development practitioner and about incorporating new ways of using technology in the delivery of career services. Shirley has served on the NCDA’s FCD Advisory Council, most recently as the chair. Shirley earned her Bachelor’s degree from Excelsior College and her M.Ed. in Educational Technology from The University of Texas at Brownsville.

Janet E. Wall, EdD,  CCSP, JCTC, NCDA CDF-I, NCDA Fellow is the 2011 recipient of the National Career Development Association’Merit Award and the 2012 recipient of the American Counseling Association’s Carl Perkins Government Relations Award and many others, has worked at the federal, state, and school district levels in the areas of assessment, evaluation, and career development. Her work has spanned the public and private sectors from the Pre-K level through executive development.

She is Past President of the Association for Assessment in Counseling and Education (AACE) and has been an officer in the Association for Counselors and Educators in Government and the Maryland Career Development Association. As the appointed representative of the American Counseling Association to the Joint Committee on Testing Practices (JCTP), she has been chair and a member of that group. She chaired or was a working member of several JCTP working groups to include those that produced the Code of Fair Testing Practices in Education, the ABC’s of School Testing video and leaders guide, Rights and Responsibilities of Test Takers: Guidelines and Expectations, and a book on assessment of individuals with disabilities. She represented AACE and NCDA as co-chair of the committee that developed the Career Counselor Assessment and Evaluation Competencies, now endorsed by both associations. She is an active member of the NCDA Professional Development and Professional Standards Committees.

Janet has co-edited a book on educational and career assessment,and is author of four McGraw-Hill test preparation books for the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB), a book on vocational interests, and one on interactive web tools for the job seeker.  She is a trainer, distance educator, conference presenter, conference keynoter, and writer of articles, reports, and monographs. She has been instrumental in the development of the ASVAB Career Exploration Program and ACT’s DISCOVER.
